Giving

Thank you so much for coming here to our Giving Page. At St Peter’s we believe that God has called us to share His love with the people of our town in both our actions as well as our words. We believe that He has called us to be Jesus’ ambassadors here. This excites us and we hope it excites you too. Is it something you want to join with us in? If so giving financially is a vital way that you can do this. As a Church we are entirely dependent on the financial giving of our Church community for everything that we do.

There are two ways to give. You can make a one off donation by clicking the Give Now button or you can make a regular gift by clicking the Give Regularly button. Our pledged giving is managed through the Parish Giving Scheme.

If you would prefer to talk with someone about giving regularly then please contact Kath Tonks our Giving Officer by emailing giving@stpetersoundle.co.uk

Here are just some of the ways that your gifts will make a difference

  • Enabling our ministry team to continue our weekly presence in the primary and secondary schools of our town;
  • Supporting initiatives such as West Porch Café (our weekly after school drop-in for those at secondary school)  and Tiny Tots (our weekly toddler group reaching out to children and their carers.)
  • Supporting the ministry of our Lay Chaplain and funding our outreach among older people at our fortnightly Tuesday Club ( a place of welcome and company, cake, scrabble and games) and annual Holiday at Home as well as regular provision for those in residential care
  • Ensuring that our building is warm and bright, well-maintained and welcoming for the many people who come through the doors – for quiet prayer – or seeking help – or for the many events that take place within it. St Peter’s is open 365 days per year.
  • Resourcing all that’s needed for St Peter’s to be a lively worshipping community of all ages
  • Enabling us to have a staff team that provides vital administration, and building- care as well as funding our ministry team of Vicar, Associate Vicar, Curate and Youth Minister.
  • Helping us to be the generous Church we long to be: reaching out to those in need in our community and supporting other ministries across the world. From the regularly pledged income we give 10% in support of our mission partners with whom we work to share God’s love. You can find out more about our mission partners by visiting our mission partners page.

This list just gives a flavour of the ministry of St Peters and what your gifts enable us to do.
