Children and Families

At St Peter's we are a family of all ages. We love to welcome children, from the smallest to the biggest, and we believe that children have a vital part to play in church life. Our aim is that every child and young person at St Peter's will grow to have a faith in Jesus that will last them a lifetime.

We take caring for children seriously and all the group leaders have undergone safeguarding training. In all our groups and activities we welcome and include all children.

On Sundays

1st and 2nd Sundays

During The 10:30 service there are three Kids Church groups for children 0 -14yrs.

For under 2's there are always toys and books available within a special area in the main worship space.

Usually children leave for their groups together after the opening worship, and return towards the end of the service.

We would love to welcome your child to one of the following groups. We offer age-appropriate activities to help children understand the Christian faith in a fun, interactive environment.

God’s Tots (pre-schoolers)

We welcome our pre-schoolers to come and join in the fun of Kids Church, they have games, crafts and play.

Power Pack (aimed at school years reception to year 2)

Tiny Tots

Tiny Tots is a free to attend group for babies, toddlers and pre-school children (0-5s) and their parents and carers. We meet on Wednesdays during school term time from 1.45pm to 2.50pm at Oundle Primary school (Via the Glapthorn Road pedestrian entrance).

As St Peter’s church family we know how important it is to have support and willing helping hands through the early years of parenthood. Tiny Tots is a place where babies and children can play, sing, hear exciting Bible stories and enjoy craft activities. It’s also a place for parents and carers to connect with others and receive support and encouragement.

Come along (now held at Oundle C.E. Primary School) and you can be sure to meet a friendly face!

The school site is secure during the daytime to protect the children, so when you come for Tiny Tots, please use the pedestrian entrance on Glapthorn Road (see map for location). A member of the Tiny Tots team will welcome you. Once on school property, go down the path until you can see the school. Bear left and the Tiny Tots room is on the Glapthorn Road side of the building, about halfway down. (This room is also used for wrap around care, for those familiar with the school).

There will be signs and team members to help!

The gate on Glapthorn Road will be open from 1.40pm – 2 pm.

Due to the safety of the children, we are not allowed to leave this gate open and unattended.

Should you arrive a little late, there will be instructions on the gate about gaining access. It will only take a minute or two to let you in, so please don’t let this put you off!

Parking is on street only and in a residential area, so please be mindful of this, if you need to drive.

We hope you enjoy being part of Tiny Tots in its new home - we look forward to welcoming you!
